End of Year

My year was filled with a lot of love.

I got to see my son one on one for the first time in 3 1/2 years. This was the most heart felt, overwhelming encounter. I missed my son so much and it meant everything to me to be able to look into his eyes, hold him and talk to him.

The birth of my first grandson was a life changing experience. I organized a baby shower, went to the OB appointments and answered many questions my daughter had as her mind got the best of her.
I said that I did not want to be in the birthing room, but I did witness the entire birth.

Being a Woman of God gives me duties and responsibilities. I felt less than when I did not complete my studies as planned in 2013. Not to mean that I did nothing, it means that I was needed elsewhere as instructed by God. You know the term "subject to change." I had to adjust to the fact that my plan was not God's plan. It all worked out and my studies have resume.

I have learned that I must choose by battles carefully. The enemy will attack to steal, killing and destroy. Everyone will not receive you when it comes to the Word of God. Do not debate with unbelievers, it will only escalate and get out of control. As a Christian I MUST STAY IN CONTROL with God's help.

My younger daughter has blossomed into this beautiful young girl. At the age of 16, she loves the Lord and is focused on her future about attending college. Dreams and admiration's keeps her fueled with hope. I admire her determination when she sets her mind on something. She is my star that shines the brightest at night in the sky.

I had a financial makeover this past year and I acquired some material items, but what really matters is that I am obedient to God's Word and take care of my financial commitments.

Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed. (Romans 13:7)

My uncle died this year and I really miss him. R.I.P. Uncle Gene.

These are some of the things that made an impact on me this year. Life is good and I have no complaints. You learn as you go and if you don't learn anything , you're not living.

Be good to yourself in 2014. Don't sweat the small stuff and always, always put God first.

Resolution

Are you like most people who make resolutions at the end of each year? Well, I am also. If you say you are not one of those people ...you are lying.
Some where in your life you are willing or needing to make a change. You will try and some will succeed, some will not.
Don't feel defeated if you do not reach your goal or accomplish what you set out to do. Life goes on, it's not the end of the world and it's not worth feeling bad about.

Set realistic expectations for yourself and try not to commit to something just because someone else is doing it.
See yourself where you want to be and do not dwell in negativity.
Fasting and prayer is needed when we are needing a change in our lives. I'm talking a permanent, "let's bury it ALL kind of change."

And he said to them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. (Mark 9:29)

Get your mind right and make a change.

Fear Not

God works in us to help us confront our fears and develop strength.

He promises to be our light in the darkness and our strength (Psalm 21:1).

He reminds us not to be dismayed, because he will help us and hold us (Isaiah 41:10).

He tells us to be of good courage because he will never leave nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6).

He exhorts us to be strong and courageous (Joshua 1:6).

He delivers us from our troubles and doubts and fears so that we may taste and see his goodness (Psalm 34).

God’s power is real. It’s an undeniable force, and it lives in us. As we fix our eyes on him, we see his love, we taste his power, which is food for the soul. It helps us to grow stronger and to rise above  any fear holding us back.

7 Promises of God

  1. He has promised to supply every need we have. Phillipians 4:19 says: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  What type of need do you have? God has Promised  to supply Every need. This would include food, clothing, shelter, companionship, love, and salvation thru Jesus Christ.
  2. God has promised that His grace is sufficient for us. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says: My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. In fact God has made Promise for salvation by His grace through faith. Do you have faith?  We must possess faith so we can have access into the grace of God.
  3. God has promised that His children will not be overtaken with temptation. I don’t want to be overtaken by temptation…Do you?  I Corinthians 10:13 says: no temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but god is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.  God assures us that a way of escape will be provided.
  4. God has promised us victory over death. He first resurrected Jesus by way of assuring our resurrection. I Corinthians 15:3,4 says Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.  Thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  5. God has promised that all things work together for good to those who love and serve Him faithfully (Romans 8:28). It may be difficult for us to see and understand how this is accomplished at times. When we may be going through a situation of sorrow or pain and may not know the words to pray. Believe that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. How many of you believe that ? God has promised it, and He will deliver.
  6. God has promised that those who believe in Jesus and are baptized for the forgiveness of sins will be saved. and Acts 2:38). Turn to God and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, so your sins are forgiven. Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Who wants their sins forgiven? Who wants to receive the gift of the Holy Spirt?
  7. God has promised His people eternal life  John 10:27 says:  My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.  Eternal Life is gods ultimate promise to us.  Live so that the promises of God will be yours.

I Believe

"Living your life for God is a lot easier than living for the devil."~CW

I can remember when my life was a mess, but when I ask God to release me from the agony and pain that I was in.....He did.

My life is a miracle, because I was led out of darkness and my life was spared.

When you are in such distress no one can help you BUT GOD.

Believe that if you cry out to God, He will hear your voice.

I'm glad he heard mine. Thank you God.

10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,” (Eph. 6:10-18)

Salvation Through Jesus Christ.

1. God's Purpose...Peace and Life

God's Purpose... Peace and Life
God loves you and wants you to know Him so He can fill you with peace and give you real life -- forever.
The Bible says::
  • Because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we live at peace with God (Romans 5:1)
  • God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only son, so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never die (John 3:16).
Jesus said:
  • "I came so that everyone would have life, and have it in its fullest" (John 10:10).
Since God planned for us to have peace and real life right now, why are so many people hurting or angry inside?

2. Our Problem...Separation From God

God's Purpose... Peace and Life
God created us in His own image so we can know Him personally and have a joy-filled life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a will and a freedom of choice. Since the beginning of time, we have chosen to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God and ends in misery.
The Bible says:
  • All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's holiness (Romans 3:23).
  • The result of unforgiven sin is death. But God's gift is eternal life given by Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).
The Bible says that disobeying God results in being separated from Him.
Our attempts can never unite us with God. Through the ages, people have tried many ways to bridge this gap and reach God -- without success.
The Bible says:
  • Adam sinned, and that sin brought death into the world. Now everyone has sinned, and so everyone must die (Romans 5:12).
  • You may think you are on the right road and still end up dead (Proverbs 14:12).
There is only one way to reach God.

3. God's Remedy...The Cross

God's Purpose... Peace and Life
Jesus Christ is the only answer to this problem. He is the only One who can bring us back to God. He died on the Cross and rose from the grave, paying the penalty for our sin and bridging the gap between God and people.
The Bible says:
  • There is only one God, and Christ Jesus is the only one who can bring us to God (1 Timothy 2:5).
  • Christ died once for our sins. An innocent person died for those who are guilty. Christ did this to bring you to God
    (1 Peter 3:18).
  • But God showed how much He loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful (Romans 5:8).
God has provided the only way -- we must make the choice.

4. Our Response...Give Ourselves to Christ

.
Our Response... Give Ourselves to Christ
We must trust Jesus Christ to forgive our sins and determine to obey Him for the rest of our lives. That way we can know God and find peace again.
The Bible says:
  • So you will be saved, if you honestly say, Jesus is Lord, and if you believe with all your heart that God raised Him from death. God will accept you and save you, if you truly believe this (Romans 10:9-10).
Is there any good reason why you cannot turn your life over to Jesus Christ right now?
How to give your life to Christ:
1. Admit you are a sinner and need forgiveness.
2. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
3. Through prayer, confess that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and commit to live for Him for the rest of your life.

Is It Really Unfair?

When we find ourselves in an uncomfortable situation we fail to reflect on how we got to that point.

Our first thought is to possibly blame others for our messes. The other is just plain denial.

Is it unfair that the way others may view us or treat us based on our behavior.

Disobedience brings on a lot of weight. Our actions have consequences and we must be ready to deal with that.

NOT living in the Will of God will put your fate in a state of unfairness. It's not fair that people talk to you that way. It's not fair that your spouse won't listen to you. It's not unfair that you feel under attack all of the time and it's not even your fault.

You can not  purge the sin, because we don't know how to recognize to prepare for our spiritual wholeness in the Lord.

This is the time to talk to God. Your relationship with God will see you through and condition your mind to be able to out think the enemy.

So know this, that if you are one to claim unfairness you need to understand how you got yourself in a situation to have this afflicted on you in the first place. Be realistic about your actions and learn from your mistakes.

God is Love, Trust in Him.
