I learned this as a child. Did I always practice it? No. But as a Christian I have learned and its in my spirit to do nothing less than show love to another human being.
When we judge, we can have a condescending attitude and you tend to treat that person or situation very negatively. Would you want someone to treat you with such conviction? This type of behavior labels the individual and can crush their spirit. Tearing down someone is not love. Building someone up shows that you care and you do not see past mistakes. We have to give one another a chance to redeem themselves and trust in God for deliverance.
When your brother or sister is hurting, we need to be by their side with kind, uplifting words and a ear to hear what they may be going though. Not on social media or on the phone to the town gossip talking about someone else's personal business.
You may find yourself in a position and want to be understood and heard. That will require another person to take the time out of their busy day to come to your aid. Appreciative? Hope so.
God forgives...we must do the same.
God renews...we must accept that change.
