Easter Sunday

Easter means alot of things to different people. I know when I was a child we attended the Catholic Church and after service we had a fest at home waiting for us. Everyone would try to be seated at the dinning room table. Alot of laughter, stories and talking over one another. My grandparents got joy out of seeing everyone together at their home.

Today I have my own family and we still attend church and yes we will have a lovely dinner this evening. This Easter Sunday I will attend church with my two daughters and my grandson. I so look forward to being in the presence of a total experience. I pray to God that as we worship, praise and hear the word preached to us,  that THE WORD will lay on our hearts so we can restore in ourselves that once was dead.

We are so blessed that we have been forgiven for our sins. Jesus paid the ultimate price for our lives.

"For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. "No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father."~John 10:17-18

Meaning of Forgiveness

We Fall Down

Love this song by Donnie McClurkin. It says alot about trouble and defeat. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.~Romans 8:37. We don't let our circumstances keep us in a oppressed, depressed or suppressed mindset.

Prayer without ceasing. Is an ATTITUDE, an attitude of God-consciousness and God-surrender that we carry with us all the time. Every waking moment is to be lived in an awareness that God is with us engaged in our thoughts and actions.

So the next time" you fall down" what kind of action will you take? You can prepare your mind and spirit the next time adversity comes right now. We don't know the situation or when, but it does not stop the power of prayer. Protecting your self is loving yourself.

No more tears of worry. No more thoughts of "why me." No more feeling less than.

When we pray for the Spirit's help ... we will simply fall down at the Lord's feet in our weakness. There we will find the victory and power that comes from His love.~ Andrew Murry

My first grandson was born yesterday his name is Elijah. What an overwhelming feeling to see a life come into this world! To witness the joy it brought into all our hearts; my daughter, my mother, her sister and myself. My daughter looked so beautiful, not ruffled at all just gorgeous.

God allowed me to pray before, during and after the entire birthing process. There definitely was a calmness in the atmosphere. There was no distress nor medical emergency regarding mother and child.
What a blessing to experience the peace of God as Elijah came into this world.

I pray that the new mother learn who Jesus is to be able to bring up Elijah in a loving, healthy, nurturing and productive environment.
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.~Proverbs 22:6

As the grandmother of Elijah, I pray to God that I can be a positive mentor to help him embrace God's Love. Through me God will give me what I need to be that strength for him. For now...I am the intercessor until he is able to cry out to God on his own.

I Am Not Afraid

There comes a time in our lives when change is necessary.  Having to make life choices can be overwhelming for anyone.

Overcoming an obstacle such as fear can be achieved by unwavering FAITH.

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
~Psalm 27:1

God is with us on this journey. We must believe in His Love and His promises for us.

                                                       “FAITH IS VICTORY”

My Family

Family is everything to me. Family will tell you like it is. Family will make you mad. Family will be there when others turn their back. The love you cannot ever replace and you can never live without.

If you have family embrace the love. We are all different and can be difficult, but you know that family is forever. Forever in love and support, no matter how mad you made someone in the past.

I have a mother who stood by me in countless ordeals and situations. She gives the kind of love to me where I truly Thank God to have her in my corner. Now don’t get me wrong I have been told off and blessed out by this same woman, but she never stopped being my mother.

As far as my children, they have always supported my progress in Jesus Christ. My biggest fans by far.”Mom I’m so proud of you.”  Are the most inspiring words I could ever hear. I can remember a time when I was a disappointment to my children. That was because I was selfish and did not have Jesus Christ in my life. Today we celebrate life. My oldest daughter will soon give birth to my first grandchild. My son is incarcerated and will be away from home for awhile, but with prayer nothing is impossible. My youngest teenage daughter is worker her way through high school and making plans for college.

I tell all my children as my mom told me, “Do your best, expect the best and don’t worry about the rest.”

But GOD has shown me….. You have to have a relationship with GOD. Surrender those things of the world to have eternal life with HIM.

I’ve had a good life and I live with no regrets. I am encouraged in the way that GOD leads me and I will never doubt my Father.

GOD lives through me to be able to bless those that Love me.

Good Advice

I see so many articles in social media giving relationship advice. Everyone is an expert. If you are single you are and expert. If you are married you are an expert. If you are divorced you are an expert. You first have to live a situation in order to be able to give advice. So with that said.

Singles: You are single for a reason. Your desperation will attract something you really are not looking for, so be confident in yourself and wait patiently. God will send the right person.

1 Corinthians 7:2~Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.

Married: “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” EVERYTHING! Do you remember why you got married in the first place? Love, Honor and Obey. Put God first and treat your spouse with respect. Make sure your goals and dreams are one in the same. Support one another in whatever you do.

Genesis 2:22-24

22 Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. 23.And Adam said:

“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.”

24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Divorced: Forgive, Forgive, And Forgive. Whatever that person did to you to make you so bitter…let it go. Believe me they have moved on to the next best thing and not giving you a second thought. Know that you are worthy by God’s standard and forget the rest.

Colossians 3:13~Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

v  Find peace with yourself and know what direction you are willing to take in a realistic relationship.

v  Throw away your list of expectations and just live your life to mirror what you may want in a mate.

v  Patience and kindness goes a long way in a relationship.

v  The way you start out in a relationship, is the way you should continue no matter what the situation

Helping Others

Over the years I have grown to know that whatever you set your mind to you can do it. At one time all I knew how to do was be a mother and a wife. When I became single again I had to find myself by letting go of the past and making plans for the future.  God became a source for all my needs.

Today is wonderful. I help people, family and friends with advice and minister to them as often as I can. I can talk to them as God has taught me through His Word. The word is a powerful thing and this is a seed being planted every time we share with one another. You can’t beat that.

The young men in my Prison Ministry with include my son, we write often and my heart goes out to these young men because they are so young and have endured such adversity. I feel privileged to extend love to them. I talk to them as a Woman of God with motherly love.

This experience is a foundation for me as a Motivational Speaker.   Learning as you live is the best education of life you can have.  Being a true servant of God you must adhere to His Word and be faithful to all that he has you to do.

Romans 12:3-11
“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;” (NKJV)

About Me

Praise God. I was born in Florida but also had the privilege to live and grow up in places like California, New York and Ohio. My mother was a teenager when she gave birth to me. So my incredible, no nonsense, loving Grandparents raised me until my mother finished College.  My mother was a single parent who became a very successful, hard working woman.  She is my role model.  I have no brothers or sisters but my family of aunts, uncles and cousins provided a closeness that you would never know this about me. We support and encourage one another even when there is not a crisis. We definitely show Love.

Being a mother to three children has provided me with such insight of what Love really is all about.  I was married for twelve years to a Minister, which ended in divorce. I have two adult children and a teenager. Only my teenage daughter lives at home with me.  My children and my mother are the staples in my life. I’ve never remarried, but I am waiting on God to give me to my husband to be. Only God can do it….I cannot.

Two years ago I resigned my position in Human Resources to work on my Bible Studies full time to become a Pastor. With the help of God I will be spreading his Word as a Motivational Speaker.  I attend Calvary Christian Center in Ormond Beach, FL. and enrolled at Global University.  Now, I advise anyone to pray and know that your steps are directed by God before considering doing something like this. Know that you know. God is a way maker and a provider!
